Why Sparkling City Basketball? Currently there are over 20 tournaments scheduled this year in the Corpus Christi area. What makes our tournaments the top choice? 1) Our touranments are the largest (104 teams in our 2006 Championship Tournament) and draw the most teams locally and from outside this area. 2) We do not have a team participating in the tournament. 3) Sparkling City Officials are trained by our staff. We are the only tournament group that trains our own officials. They are trained to be competant and impartial. Our director is also an official and supervises the training. 4) We utilize the best facilities in this area. We make every attempt for all ages to play in the best gyms. 5) Games are designed to be competive by offering different levels of play (blue & gold) for divisions when the number of entries allow. 6) You get your monies worth- you can lose early and still win your divsion, REGULATION CLOCK & Quarters, 3 games guarenteed but 4-5 to win tournament. Over 65% of the teams will play at least 4 games. 7) Awesome awards!!!! 8) SPORTSMANSHIP is a high priority. Everyone is expected to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner. We encourage intense and aggresive play but do not comprise the importance of good sportsmanship. 9) Easy access to your schedule on the web. 10) We supply impartial, competent scorekeepers not volunteers. 11) When you support our tournaments you are supporting a Texas organization.
